Hello!!! My name is Lindsey Benson and the world of sports is my life since a very young age. Since I was a little girl I have particapted in sporting events such as swimming, gymnastics, basketball, softball, and volleyball. I took a liking to volleyballfrom the start and continued my sporting career in that sport. I continued to play volleyball in high school where I recieved a lot of recongition and because of that I was blessed with the oppurtunity to play for California Lutheran Unversity. At Cal Lu I was named west coast regional player two times, mvp two times, first team all SCAIC my senior year, second team all SCIAC my junior year, all american my junior and senior year, and my senior year I was athlete of the year for my university. Not only did I receive a lot of awards and had a great athletic career at California Lutheran Unversity I learned a lot about myself and the world of athletics. Without sports I would not be were I am today and I would not receive the great oppurtunites that I have been blessed with, and have met the amazing people who are in my life. I become a stronger individual with the knowledge I have gain from the sport and use this knowledge on a daily basis. I currently compete in a sport called crossfit and I am also a nationally rank olmypic lifter. Other then that I am still training for my athletic career and I now teach strength and conditioning at Harvard Westlake. I try to enstill in my student that anything is possible through hard work and dedication. I continue to learn new things everyday with the help of my students and collegues and hope to impact my students in a postive way.
