It actually entails some work, weither it is actually chooseing what movements are going to be in the workout, deciding how many repititions of each movement your client or cleitns will be doing, or if it is just deteremining how big a peice of equipment will be.There is a lot of work, knowledge, and creativity that needs to be put into creating a sports and excerise equipment!
Some things a fitness room should include: 1. Fitness Center to include aerobic and muscular strength and endurance (aerobic capacity) equipment. (treadmills, bikes, steppers, EFX, weight training equipment both free and stations.) 2. A selection of aerobic tapes 3. Aerobic steps 4. Jump Ropes 5. Music 6. Fitness journals 7. Pens/Pencils/Clipboards 8. TV/Monitor for aerobic tapes and motivational videos
Roles In Each Group:
Script Writer/Director- This student will take notes on what they want their commerical to include, what the dialogue will be, and what part each student will be playing in the commercial
Fabricator- This student will be incharge of keep their equipment at their house and also
Speaker- This student will be incharge of introducing each group member to the class, what their product is, and to show their vidoe to the class.
Rubric 1. As a group you will be creating a peice of workout equipment and create a info. commercial that explains what your peice of equipment does, what it is for, and what part of the body is being worked when using this equipment. 2. The workout equipment should be made of household items that could include water bottles, masking tape, paper towel or toilet paper rows, milk gallons, and so on. There should be some creativity in these peices of equipment. For example, do not show up to class with just a un-used water bottle.
3. Using voicethread or a flip camera your group will create a info commercial. The commercial should not only include a creative story line, but your group should also be able to identify some of the strength movements that involve using fitness equipment and what muscle or muscle groups are being worked when using this equipment. When finished creating your info commerical you will post it on this wiki page and share it with the rest of the class.
4. Your grade is depending on your teamwork with your group of four, which will be assigned to you by me. The creativity of your peice of equipment, the execution/creativity of the info commericial, and the presentation you give to the class.
